Could you please help me with an app suggestion only to get rid of this E-tron sat-nav? I mean, nothing is good about it. Nor the interface, the traffic monitoring, not more to say about the route planning. And imagine this is a premium feature. It is on my......

Just use your Smart phone and Google Maps App. Mount your phone on the dash. I have traveled all over Europe and USA with Google and its great. Does route planing with options.
Now I also recommend using Google fi as the Cell carrier if you travel many states or in Europe as it works anywhere at the lowest cost.
And you can buy a phone magnetic mount that fits mid dash between the two center air vents - search the web.

my car is a 2018 and it has apple car play and android auto... works great... i guess not every model year has it?

My early 2017 was supposed to have Android Auto but does not. Dealer says software cannot be up dated, and as I bought it used out of warrant not much chance they would add that. So I just use Smartphone.

We have been traveling in Europe for 6 weeks 7 countries, and again using Google Maps on Cell services provided by Google fi. Works fine everywhere. The rental car is a VW with satellite Navigation - but harder to use than Google so we just us our smart phone and our fi data plan, which is very low cost every where. I carry a cell phone magnetic mount that clips into most car vents.

I don't know why I haven't gone with the Google Maps app before. Thanks!
Yeah, I have something similar. I had to buy one a few years ago after I almost got into an accident...
