Question: I have a set of older Audi Wheels that I want to use for the spring/summer but they don't have TPMS. If I change present OEM wheels (has TPMS) with my aftermarket without TPMS, will it trigger the TPMS warning light constantly or can I do MMI reset and just drive the car without it?

Or, do I have to buy a set of TPMS sensors and install in my aftermarket wheels?

Our 2017 A3 e-tron detects low tire pressure using the ABS wheel rotation sensors rather typical TPMS sensors, so it’s part of the car itself at each hub, not the wheels. Assuming your A3 is similar, replacement wheels do not need the TPMS. You will simply reset the system through the MMI menu once you know the tires are equally inflated.
