HI Everyone
One of the forum members who is a track driving instructor suggested upgrading tires on the A3 etron. So, I took his advice and now have a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. I mounted them on some A3 OE rims I picked up used. The car is quieter, rides better with the coilover suspension and I no longer get wheelspin on quick starts. I definitely recommend upgrading your tires when needed.

Good Morning HueyLewis
My rims are 18 inch. They are a factory upgrade rim for the A3 and S3 from about 2012 to 2015. However, I have also seen them in 19 inch size. For our car, i find the 19 inch too large, but if you are looking for this larger size, there is a set on Facebook Marketplace now.

To cure your wheelspin issue, you must upgrade your tires! I went from a set of older Continental DWS to Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Yes, the Michelins cost more and the Pilot All Season tires might have been fine, but I really wanted to see what my little car was like with some very fine shoes. Amazing difference. No more wheelspin (unless i want it), improved feel, dramatic better handling and better ride over rough roads, too. I plan to rotate these expensive tires every time i get an oil change so maybe they will last me 20K miles. The other forum member who recommended these tires was right on!
