Got this weird thing happening with my A3 last week. Out of nowhere, the MMI system rebooted while I was cruising along. The screen popped back in and then started up again like nothing happened. At least the car was cool and kept going, which is a relief!

But now I can’t shake this nagging worry that there’s some hidden gremlin causing all this.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Let me know!

Same here! My MMI keeps crashing and restarting multiple times during my drives, particularly in certain areas. Just curious if there might be a solution or if its possible that weak signals in those spots are messing things up.

Mine did that not too long ago too, but I thought it was just some weird glitch with the dimming feature. I tapped the screen, and it came back on, so I didn't think much of it. Didn’t really seem like a full reboot or anything.

MMI reboots are often due to software glitches. Try a reset, or check for a software update at the dealership, and a battery disconnect sometimes helps too.
