Hi all, I got my 2017 over a year ago, been loving it, but now need to change the front driver's side fog light bulb and can't figure out how to access it!

Many YT videos I've seen say to take a ring-type tool from the toolkit and use it to pry out a bezel/grille covering the bulb compartment in order to access the bulb housing, but they seem to be relevant for older models with a different type of cover, like here:

Whereas mine looks like this:

Is there a little door on the backside of that? Like, crank the steering wheel so that tire is pointed all the way inward, then look at the fender liner and see if there's a door.

With that said, if you have LED fog lights, not sure it's an easily user-replaceable part.

Thanks Nuje, I actually jacked up the car and removed the wheel to make it easier, then removed several screws holding the wheel-well liner to try to access it from that side, but there are a bunch of components in the way (including the radiator), so no luck. Also tried sliding a couple of rulers to try to pop the tabs of the grille from the front, but can't seem to do so. Don't want to use too much force and break it since it's plastic. Since my maintenance is almost due, I guess I'll just let the dealer handle it.

I only suggested because my Mk7 Golf (pretty much the same car) has access that way; not applicable on our 2016 because the fog lights are integrated into the main headlight assembly.

I took a gander at a used LED DRL assembly being sold on ebay and it confirmed my suspicions that there are no user serviceable bulbs that can be changed out for our facelifted 2017/2018. Based on the mounting holes and alignment tabs on the part, I bet the whole bumper has to come off for you to slide the assembly backwards for replacement.

For reference in case you want to see all the pics the seller posted:

Bumper covers on these cars might seem intimidating to remove, but it's really not very hard.
Screws in the wheel liners, a few underneath, then start pulling from each wheel well as you work a plastic pry tool against the little catch tabs.

Watch a couple YT videos and it'll make more sense.
