Hi to everyone! i've a problem with my audi, i've had a little fron accident and the damage was:
the right headlight, the grille, the front bumper, the steering wheel airbag and a charger port sensor.
Now after 6 months and thousand of €, the mechanic (not AUDI) repaired all the car with all this broken parts, but, when he make a reset of the car with the ODB the car dont start.
He says that theres no errors in the car, but the error is in this video I make, the "etron read" advice blinking. now he told me that I have to take the car with the tow truck to the Audi dealership, but I wont spent other thousand of money I would try to resolve by myself,
thank you for aswers!

Based on your video, it looks like there is still something going on with the charge port sensor. It's almost as if there is a short circuit to that sensor causing the car to flicker out of "Ready" mode as if someone was constantly plugging and unplugging the car.

Try plugging in the car to see if you get the same issue on the dash. Plugged in, the car should NOT enter ready mode as a safety feature to keep you from driving away while still plugged in. If the car does the same where it keeps jumping between off and "ready", you can tell your mechanic to repair the switch correctly.

Good luck!

Hi icee! thank you for the answer! i've made a new video, with the car in charge there's a security message and the READY message does not appear. but I agree with you about some charging port issues, we've changed already this sensor in photo.
Another thing i noticed is that the car starts always in "EV mode", although I put on BATTERY HOLD mode.
Yesterday instead, when i made the first video, for a second, with charger not connected, the security message of charger connected appears for just a second, then disappears; so i'm agree with you about charging sensors, so I made a photo of the sensors.
Thank you so much for the help!!!

It's normal for our car to start up and drive off in EV mode until the battery is drained or you change the modes.

Something I noticed in your second video, right at the 35 second mark, it looks like the green charge status light blinks from green to red and back a few times. I thought it may have been when your car was unplugged. The Audi manual isn't too helpful here as it states, "If the 'red plug' indicator light stays on, there is a malfunction in the charging system. Have the problem corrected immediately by an authorized Audi Dealer."

I just checked how plugging and unplugging my car shows on the cluster display. The charge status plug icon changes from green to yellow for less than a second then displays the green EV car icon when I unplug the car. As soon as I plug the car back in, it shows the green plug icon again. There was no blinking red icon.

You may want to see if someone near you has a Ross-Tech VagCom cable or an OBDeleven dongle where you can take a look for any stored soft fault codes.

Keep us updated as to what you find out!

The OBDeleven bluetooth dongle works on apple and android phones and can be found here:
https://obdeleven.com/products

You don't need a paid plan or purchase any points up front if all you want to do is scan each of the car's control units. Before you buy anything, I recommend youtubing OBDeleven to see if the features and data is worth your hard earned money.

The Ross-Tech VCDS USB cable requires a computer to use and it geared more towards enthusiasts and mechanics. Its much more expensive too. I'm not sure which model cable supports our e-tron as I have the older version for my 2011 GTI.

ok, thank you! bought the OBDELEVEN next gen with free plan, seems more easy to use on youtube videos, so if i could read eventually error codes with obdeleven, when it arrives i'll share with you the fault codes I read, let's hope for the best! thank you soo much for your patience!

Good morning to everyone, finally the obd scanner arrived! i've read about errors on my car, actives and passives. there's errors on: sound system (2 active errors), light control (2 active errors), battery charger (1 passive error), multimedia (4 active errors), transmission (18 errors I can't read), headlight regulation (1 active error), central electrics (1 active error), steering column lock (2 passive errors), engine (2 passive errors), air conditioning (2 active errors), gateway (2 passive errors). Everytime I try to start I hear a relay noise under the gear shifter, and if I press to the bottom the accelerator (until the click) the engine starts. how do I share with you the scan?
Thank you!

Another question: i've read somewere that i've to change the pyrofuse, It can be the problem?

Hi to everyone! i've tried today to read one more time the errors on the car, i've cleared the errors and read the modules, i've made a video of the page of obdeleven, the errors on lights and audio are because the light switch and the subwoofer are disconnected, the only errors that I cant read are on transmission, i've made another video of the problem.
On other discussions about audi etron damaged and with my problem, i've read that the problem could be some pyro fuses, or the EV battery control module, or the airbag control module, or a reset on the EV battery from AUDI, can be these the problems? Or one of them? i'll look forward to your answers! Thank you!

You have 17 (SEVENTEEN!!) faults in your transmission; the transmission is both what drives the car in EV mode, as well as what gets the internal gas engine started.

If the goal is to get the car running again, you can forget about all of the other modules for now and just focus on the transmission. If there are faults, they should be readable; and this brings up one of my pet peeves with OBDeleven - I don't know if that's a problem with the dongle; or you have to pay money to read those faults; or if the car has some kind of security block that prevents you from reading them.

Once you can get a read on those faults, actually click on one of them to get the actual error code (both the number and description) and punch that into Google or whatever and see what that gets you.

Ok icee! Thank you! If I want to buy one of these odb? What model should I buy?
Thank you for answers !
I've have the VCDS® HEX-V2® Enthusiast - USB Interface, about US $200 US. Its one reason why I own VW/Audi, so can do my repairs.

On a Ross-tech (maker of VCDS) forum, they posted: This vehicle needed a new battery. Not sure why the old battery died (no accident, nothing usual I can see, not even water inside, all looked very good inside) but a new/used battery solved the problem. The used battery came with crash activated but once I rescanned and reset the codes in all the modules, the crash code disappeared (my car didn't have any airbags issues).

But maybe your battery is still good and but only need to reset the codes?
