Has anyone tracked their A3 e-tron from order acceptance through production and then on the ship and to the port of entry in the US?

I did. When you place your order, your dealer may give you a commission number, build week and approximate delivery date. Once you have those, you can ping your dealer for more information later. For my last 2 Audis, my salesperson was very tight lipped with information but the user SYMAWD at AudiWorld forums, an employee at an Audi dealer somewhere, has been very helpful giving out more information than my own sales person as long as you have a commission number. He can give you ship information after it leaves Germany and then you can track it using free ship tracking websites.

I figured out how to track it on the ship finally but after it left the ship it went into a black hole. In order to track it on the ship, you need to have the VIN which your dealer can provide. Once you have the vin, use the last 7 characters as the cargo id on the following site

LOL! Sorry, I had to laugh at the subject title of this thread. As a Porsche owner, when I see the phrase, "tracking your [insert car name here]", I immediately think of you taking your car and a helmet for a day at the race track! I was expecting something totally different when I opened this to read it.

Sorry for the diversion, carry on.
