DRL behavior in 2017?

In online videos of the 2017 e-tron, the light pipes in the headlight assembly and LEDs in the right/left lower grill (where fog lights used to be) turn on as daytime running lights. You can see that behavior here:

But my (2017 A3 e-tron Prestige) headlight assembly lights do not turn on in the daytime; only the lower right/left LEDs accent/fog lights. The headlight LEDs do come on when the low beams are on, however. They also come on when the light switch is set to the parking lights. Daytime running lights are set to ON in MMI. Is this what you see? Maybe it's a USA thing?

Thanks; I guess not a malfunction. Seems odd since LED DRL in the headlights is Audi's signature.
