Update on Pedal Commander. I just learned that this company is having a $40 off sale on their pedal programmer through St Patrick's Day. That is a 20% discount from the regular price and you still get the money-back guarantee if you don't like it. Might be worth a try for those of you who...
Not sure if this is best in the Tech Forum or here, but I just read this in the Audi A3 etron Service Training Guide:
The suspension system of the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron is based on
the suspension system of the conventional-engined Audi A3 Sportback.
2 suspension system versions are available...
Morning Rick. You have to remember that the electric range is significantly impacted by ambient temperature. So, you may see 22-24 miles in the summer, but only 17-18 miles in the winter (or less). The key is to watch the battery gauge on the dash to make sure every led is lit after a full...
For those of you who have changed your wheels to ones that use the Audi "spider" center caps, I have some info for you. The factory spider caps are a light grey in color. I found they were boring on my silver wheels on a silver car. So, after some research, I found you can order the same...
Hi Cursh
Our cars do not have adjustable suspension. When you change from Comfort to Normal to Dynamic modes, it only changes the steering sensitivity and the throttle response, as far as i can remember. This feature does more on other Audi models, but not on the A3 etron.
I am pleased to hear your etron story has a happy ending. Did the dealership provide any suggestions on proper maintenance for the mechatronic units the rest of us can follow to avoid your situation?
Good Morning HueyLewis
My rims are 18 inch. They are a factory upgrade rim for the A3 and S3 from about 2012 to 2015. However, I have also seen them in 19 inch size. For our car, i find the 19 inch too large, but if you are looking for this larger size, there is a set on Facebook Marketplace...
Hello KMoores77. I know this is an old post, but thanks for sharing this info. I liked your idea, but decided to put the decal on the front of my car where the European license plate would normally go. I feel it looks pretty good--much nicer than the large US license plate adapter!
My car was originally sold in California and it came with a 150K mile hybrid warranty. The warranty covers the mechatronic unit. Check with your dealer about your long-term hybrid warranty. It may be covered.
You probably should start a thread for the charging questions. I had an electrician check out my house, but i made no upgrades because the A3 etron is happy with 110 VAC. I use a Toyota Prius charger since my car did not come with the factory one and it can fully charge on 110 in about 5...
Yes, this is a hardware box with a circuit board inside that allows for almost infinite programming of accelerator pedal responsiveness. You can't do it with the OBD 11 (although I know you can do cool stuff). What have you done with your programmer?
No, none of these pedal programmers change your 0 to 60 times. But, they dramatically change they way the car responds when you step on the accelerator! I really like the responsiveness to small presses on the pedal. That is very different from stock. And the performance of the car in EV...
Hello Whitev70r,
If you want to lower your car with the Eibach springs, you have to get them from a dealer that imports directly from Europe. Eibach does not sell the springs for our A3 etron routinely in the USA. I believe the part number is: Eibach Pro E10-15-021-15-22. Tuner Shop in...
